Oscar-winning actress Jodie Foster is in contract to sell her home in Calabasas, California, with an asking price of $2.85 million.
The single-story, Spanish Revival-style home in the gated community of The Oaks surfaced on the Multiple Listing Service on April 28, and went into contract two days later, listing records show.
The approximately 5,000-square-foot home has four bedrooms and five bathrooms, a great room with 25-foot ceilings, a fireplace and French doors leading to the backyard, a family room with built-in shelves and entertainment nook, a home office, a gourmet kitchen with stone counters and an eat-in breakfast area, according to the listing with David Kramer and Roya Sklar of Hilton & Hyland.

Outdoors, there is a pool, a covered patio and an abundance of entertaining spaces, according to the listing.
“It’s hard to find such a large-scale living space in a single story,” Mr. Kramer said.
The main reason it sold in just two days, he said, is because it was priced right. “Even though the market is challenging right now, we priced the house well and got a lot of activity.”
Ms. Foster, 57, bought the house via a trust in 2005 for $2.26 million, property records show.
Ms. Foster started her career at age 2 making commercials. She was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in 1976, at age 24, for her performance in “Taxi Driver.” Before she turned 30, she would go on to win two Oscars for her leading roles in “The Accused” (1988) and “The Silence of the Lambs” (1991).
Her representative did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Variety first reported the sale.
