[Photos by Roger Davies/Architectural Digest] Even though Patriot Tom Brady and model Gisele Bundchen spent $20 million building a 22,000-square-foot estate with a moat on a huge lot in the gated Brentwood Country Estates, “The reality of [their] life in Los Angeles’s Brentwood neighborhood is far more—dare we say it?—normal.” Hilarity forever at Architectural Digest. Those guys dared to say it. Then they dared to describe the house, which was designed by local megamansion-builder-to-the-stars Richard Landry and interior designer Joan Behnke, and includes “a stone bridge spanning a koi-stocked moat that’s picturesque but not pompous”; a pool “laid out with two straight sides and one long, sinuous edge that helps give the impression of a nautral lake, particularly in the early-morning and late-afternoon light”; and, obvs., “custom-made wrought iron monkey bars” in the gym. There are also lots of green features, like a moat and a six-car garage. No, we mean like gray-water systems for irrigation and a photovoltaic array. Anyway, with these two, we definitely wanted to check out the gym and her closet (plus always always a kitchen and why not a living room); our pals at Curbed National have even more.
